Summer camps 2026
Sudbury Storm x Laurentian Voyageurs x Trevella Sports Summer Basketball Camps 2026
Take your game to the next level this summer with expert instruction from Laurentian Voyageurs student-athletes.
Through a partnership between the Sudbury Storm (GSBA), Laurentian University Voyageurs, and Trevella Sports, campers will develop basketball fundamentals, build confidence, compete in a fun environment, and learn from some of Greater Sudbury's top university athletes.
Camp Features
- Ages 8–15
- Co-ed and Girls-Only options available
- Led by Laurentian Voyageurs student-athletes
- Small-group instruction (1:8 instructor-to-camper ratio)
- Ball handling, shooting, passing, defence, rebounding, and basketball IQ
- Daily competitions and scrimmages
- Sportsmanship and teamwork development
- Camp t-shirt included
- OBA-insured program

Session 2 - Voyageurs Girls Basketball Camp
August 10–14, 2026
Laurentian University – Ben F. Avery Gymnasium
Designed specifically for girls who want to improve their basketball skills in a positive, encouraging, and empowering environment. Campers will receive instruction from experienced coaches and mentors while focusing on skill development, confidence building, teamwork, and leadership.
Whether you're new to the game or already competing on a team, the Voyageurs Girls Basketball Camp is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun with other girls who love basketball.
Session 3 - Co-Ed Summer Basketball Camp
August 17–21, 2026

2026 AGM Meeting
On behalf of the Greater Sudbury Basketball Association Board of Directors, we would like to invite all members to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Boreal Room M3380A, Collège Boréal
Parking & Entrance:
The easiest way to access the meeting room is to use the back entrance near the Inukshuk. Once inside, follow the signs to Room M3380A (Boreal Room).
The AGM provides an opportunity to review the past season, receive organizational and financial updates, elect members to the Board of Directors, and discuss the future direction of GSBA.
Board of Directors Elections
The following Board positions are up for election this year:
- President
- Vice-President – Communications
- Secretary
- Other directors
Each position carries a two-year term.
Members in good standing who are interested in serving on the Board are encouraged to submit their candidacy in advance. Please provide:
- Your name
- The position you wish to seek
- A brief statement of interest (optional)
Please submit your candidacy by Wednesday, July 8, 2026 by replying to this email or by emailing info@greatersudburybasketball.com.
Nominations will also be accepted from the floor during the AGM. Members may nominate themselves or be nominated by another member with their consent.
Governance Review
As GSBA continues to grow, the Board has been reviewing several aspects of our governance structure and operational policies to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the organization.
Members will be asked to consider several proposed constitutional amendments intended to improve clarity, accountability, and organizational governance. A package outlining the proposed amendments will be circulated in advance of the AGM in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution.
The Board will also provide an update on the development of several organizational policies relating to financial management, member conduct, complaint resolution, and election procedures.
